A WOODLAND HIDEAWAYWASHINGTON STATE
Somewhere worth getting lost.
IN THE VALLEY54°Slightly foggy.As always.
Thirteen keys, thirty-five minutes east of Seattle. The coffee is always hot and nothing is quite what it seems.
A LITTLE OFF THE BEATEN PATH
The nearest town is eleven miles and the coffee is already on.
The lodge sits at mile 14 on Middle Fork Road, in the deep misty canopy of the Pacific Northwest among towering red alders. Thirteen keys in total, which is small on purpose, and two of them are cabins out in the firs.
There are no televisions in the rooms and the Wi-Fi reaches the lobby and the Coffee Room and nowhere else. Both of those are decisions rather than oversights, and most guests stop mentioning it by the second morning.
THIRTEEN KEYS, FIVE WITH NAMES
